Becos is a story of joys, opportunities and resilience that mix with the violence, racism and injustice faced daily by young residents of slums and peripheries in Brazil. In a lyrical and poetic way, six artists from Maré take us to the alleys and crossroads of one of the largest sets of favelas in the country.
All health safety rules, required by health authorities in response to Covid-19, were observed during the recording of the studio podcast (August 2020) and the video trailer at Complexo da Maré (November 2020).
